Our client, who operates within a fast moving industry and a world leader in its field, wish to compliment its already successful team with the appointment of a Product Manager, This individual will be a committed and dedicated person who will join the team and will maintain their US ACH processing. The position requires involvement in the product life cycle from drafting business requirements through to release and managing the payment product to its full maturity. The tasks will include documentation and training for support, updating websites, and product guides for internal use as well as managing the configuration settings for the individual payment solutions. In addition, this role will require the oversight and management of the existing payment methods and the supplier relationships behind them. The ACH specialist will have excellent analytical skills and be able to comfortably work at a fast pace in a dynamic environment. You will be responsible for the success of the products by knowing how they will work best for the business and making sure that suppliers deliver on the often stringent demands expected by the company.

Key Responsibilities

Write high-level requirements of new ACH solutions and steer the product through software development and testing by working with payment processors, software development teams

Release the solution and manage ramp-up of volume. Ensure vendor meets customer support requirements and put in place proper reporting (both in-house and at vendor)

Serve as escalation point with vendors for various internal stakeholders such as support, payment services, accounts receivable and security. Actively manage vendor relationship and ensure that any issues or escalations are dealt with in a satisfactory fashion

Monitor forums for complaints / early warning signs of payment processing issues

Analyse all available existing ACH solutions for decline rates, return rates, cost and speed for debit and credit transactions

Change the nature and size of volume split between providers based on analysis to minimize cost, increase approval rates

Analyze internal systems and recommend software enhancements / new reports or tools to minimize cost, reduce fraudulent transactions , increase transaction approval rates and compare quality of processing across processors

Identify need for and manage integrations with external services such as - identity verification, account validation / scrubbing, negative databases. Manage and optimize usage of such services such as frequency of use to ensure minimum overall total cost
Essential
At least 3-5 years experience (or equivalent) in product management in the online, financial services or Internet industry; experience with online payment processing a plus

Solid understanding of ACH processing and maintaining ACH relationships; 2 years plus experience in this area is required (or similar)

Strong business analyst; comfortable handling large sets of data and ability to drill down to minute attention to detail in order to gain the best end-result

Solid understanding of the state of online payment processing across the globe, and knowledge of current industry trends is an advantage

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate organized thought. Experience working with remote development teams / clients /vendors preferred

Proven track record in project management with demonstrable skills Prince 2 Certification (or equivalent)
