Our client is currently looking to compliment its team with the appointment of an experienced Internal Audit Manager within the specialist Audit & Risk Division. You will probably have gained experience working within one of the main accountancy firms, carrying out public sector audits, or alternatively directly employed within the public sector finance departments.

Type of Person Required
CCAB qualified or experience of working within internal audit in the Local or Central Government, Health & NHS or similar.
You will require:-

Excellent report writing ability

Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing

Willing to travel to other client sites as appropriate
The Role
You will be undertaking a range of auditing and consultancy assignments which will include:-

Delivering individual internal audit assignments to report stage
-
Liaising with clients at senior officer level
-
Undertaking assignments which include auditing and financial statements audit, for the commercial arm of the Practice
Contributing to the development of the public sector division by:-
-
Identifying opportunities for business development
-
Building on existing client relationships & developing new accounts
-
Identifying opportunities for improving existing auditing techniques
-
Maintain up to date knowledge of the challenges facing the public sector
