Position: Manager - Business Intelligence Centre

Location: Hampshire (some flexibility for the right applicant)

Salary: £25-35k pa plus bonus based on achieving agreed KPIs

Job Type: Permanent

 

Our client a world leading beverage industry research specialist, with a network of Consultants and Researchers in more than 50 countries and offices around the world, now wish to compliment is already established organisation with the appointment of a Business Intelligence Manager. A privately-owned company, their client list reads like a who’s who of the global beverage industry and includes industry suppliers from packaging and ingredients as well as national and international beverage producers and brand owners.

DESCRIPTION

A full-time position with responsibility for in-house research activities in a well-established, dynamic international business to business market research company, specialising in the beverage industry.

THE ROLE

  • Help to design and establish a business intelligence system to support our global network of consultants and researchers

  • Collect, index and store a wide range of research documents created by members of the team

  • Identify & retrieve additional information as required for specific projects and reports

  • Create newsletters and other materials to support client subscription services

  • Help to recruit, train and manage additional Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) team members, some located in other countries

  • Reporting to Director of Business Intelligence

THE PERSON

  • A strong interest in and experience of online data information systems

  • Highly computer and comfortable with web-based research techniques

  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office and other major software or equivalent

  • Some direct people management experience

  • A healthy interest and understanding of business news

  • Good communication, interpersonal and information dissemination skills

  • Independent and proactive work style

  • Highly structured and organised with a good eye for detail

  • Possess an innate desire and have the ability to create order from chaos

  • Good writing and creative editorial skills

  • Proactive, able to work on own initiative
