Qualifications

Financial Planning Certificate 1, 2 & 3 or equivalent

Study of further financial services’ exams encouraged
Requirements
-
Strong interpersonal, sales orientation and organisational skills. Good knowledge and awareness of FSA Regulations/products. Previous experience of dealing within the financial services sector, preferably within an IFA environment or equivalent. Proficient computer IT literacy on WORD, Excel, 1st, Synaptics/Exchange
Responsibilities
-
Ensure that all business is fully compliant and accurate prior to submission to the product provider (includes Money Laundering considerations)

Preparation of valuations/Synaptics reports (with Consultant guidance/input)/quotes (Exchange) and literature for client meetings
-
Assist Consultants with recommendation reports/letters of suitability (under strict consultant guidance) where appropriate
-
Attend client meetings for fact finding (if deemed competent appropriate) and note taking as required by the consultant

Schedule/monitor client annual reviews and provide detailed pre-meeting documentation;

Assist the Consultant to effectively ‘time manage’, enabling him/her to focus upon business opportunities

Maintain good working relations with product providers and Consultant to ensure that the client’s best interests are served at all times

Provision of efficient/accurate pre and post sale admin support to Consultants
-
Ensure that all incoming post is dealt with appropriately, in a timely manner and filed
-
Maintain client files and computer records in a compliant and orderly manner

Ensure that all 1st data entry is accurate to maintain a full client audit trail

In the consultant’s absence, act in an intermediate capacity between the clients and the accountancy practices to help maintain good working relationships with the existing client base

Manage any outstanding commission and use investigative methods to ensure that commissions due to the company are paid in a timely manner
-
Ensure that Data Protection Act requirements are met by observing said Principles
-
Report all potential issues of concern to the Compliance Team, particularly those matters which could potentially lead to client disadvantage

To report any suspicious transactions

To undertake training as required.

To adhere to all instructions detailed by the Compliance Team.
